Text: Linear Algebra (An introductory Approach) by C.W. Curtis, 4th ed.
There will be two midterms and a final examination. Each midterm is worth 100 points and the final is worth 200 points.
There also will be required weekly homework assignments, typically due on the first class day of the following week. In total the assignments are worth 100 points, as much as one test.
In total there will be 500 points available. Your total score will be converted into a precentage score. The cutoffs of 80%, 70%, 60%, and 50% for A, B, C, and D are guaranteed, but the cutoffs can be lowered if a lower overall class average warrants it.
Please note that the midterms are scheduled for Friday, the 8th of October and Friday, the 19th of November. The final examination is scheduled for Wednesday, the 15th of December, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It will not be given earlier; please take that into account if you will be making travel plans.
Welcome to Math 413 - may you have a very productive and successful semester!
