Koch Scholarships:
- $2,000 award
Available to freshmen Science majors who are graduates of Tucson area high schools who show scholarship, merit and professional potential; renewable at discretion of committee. Selection by college committee/dean.
Deadline: March 1, 2000
Manring Scholarship:
- $3,500 award
Available to a student or prospective student enrolled full-time in the College of Science at the undergraduate or graduate level. No restrictions are placed on the selection of the recipient; however, priority may be given to an individual with a physical disability, an individual with financial need and clearly to an individual who may not be able to attend the UA without this assistance. Applications submitted through the College with selection by the Arizona Community Foundation (Phoenix).
Van de Verde Undergraduate Research Scholarships:.
- $1,500 award beginning 1998-99 (Number of awards vary); renewable by re-application
Available to undergraduates who demonstrate academic excellence, professional promise and financial need. Each scholarship recipient will work cooperatively with a faculty mentor on a research project. Students' applications must include an essay explaining their proposed research project and how it relates to thier career goals, and two supporting letters- one of which must be from the faculty sponsor in whose laboratory the student will plan to carry-out the research project. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Students must be majoring in a College of Science discipline. Selection by college/dean.

Available to freshman Science majors who are graduates of Rincon High School who intend to major in Science fields, particularly those entering premedical studies; non-renewable. Selection by college committee/dean.
