Since SUMSRI was created to address the shortage of women and minorities in the mathematical sciences, they are looking for, but not limited to, African Americans, other underrepresented minorities, and women.

Princeton Summer Research Experience: A program for African American, Hispanic, and Native American undergraduates to work with Princeton faculty and research staff for 9-weeks to test their commitment to graduate study. Each student works with one or more faculty mentors on a self-selected project forcusing on some aspect of the computational properties of complex systems.
