Shari and I began travelling as soon as
we were married. During the 20 years after retirement, we spent six months
out of each year living in our 33 foot Tiffin Allegro motorhome, towing a
Jeep Grand Cherokee. Time was spent in leisurely travel through the western
states and Canadian provinces. There was also both domestic and international
travel that did not involve a motorhome. We created postcards from our own
pictures. These were printed and mailed, or e-mailed, while we were on the
road.

The Thompsons have become a quilting
team: I create designs on a computer,
then Shari does all of the real work of embellishing and quilting. We have created the first nationally
recognized Girl Scout badges in quilting.
Over 1,600 girls from 30 states have used the directions from our web
site to complete badge work. The
material has also been used to teach quilting to both boys and girls, up
through the fifth grade.
