After finishing a medical technology
internship at St Mary’s Hospital in Tucson , Shari is an American Society of
Clinical Pathologist Board Certified Medical Technologist. She worked in several Tucson hospitals and
laboratories until retiring in 2005.
The last 27 years of her career were spent at the University Medical
Center, specializing in Blood Bank and HLA typing for the organ transplant
program. |

Following completion of a Ph.D. at the
University of Wisconsin (Madison), Richard joined the Mathematics Department
at the University of Arizona, serving for 38 years until his retirement as
Professor Emeritus in 2005. Starting with algebraic topology, he moved on to
statistics, the use of technology in mathematics instruction, and to the
creation of a set of electronic textbooks covering mathematics for business
majors. Named Mathematics for Business
Decisions, these cover data analysis, probability statistics, and
calculus. They were published and
distributed on a site licensed basis by the Mathematical Association of America. |
