Math 523b - Real Analysis - Books
- Folland, Real Analysis: Modern Techniques and Applications.
The textbook for the course. I will follow it pretty closely.
- Tery Tao, An Introduction to Measure Theory
is available on-line
- Royden, Real Analysis This book starts at a lower level than
Folland. In particular he first develops Lebesgue measure on the real line
and then does Legesgue integration just with respect to this measure.
Then latter he develops abstract measures and integration with respect to
them.
- Rudin, Real and complex analysis As the title suggests, he
intertwines real and complex analysis topics. So this contains a lot of
material we will not cover.
- Stein and Shakarchi,
Real Analysis: Measure Theory, Integration, and Hilbert Spaces (Princeton Lectures in Analysis) (Bk. 3)
- Hewitt and Stromberg, Real and abstract analysis
