I oversee advising for undergraduate majors and minors in the Department of Mathematics, and coordinate activities of the Math Center. Our department offers undergraduate programs in Mathematics and in Statistics & Data Science (SDS).

Declare the Math or SDS major: You officially declare a major in Mathematics or Statistics & Data Science (SDS) by completing an online info session, then meeting with an advisor in the Math Center. You will receive information on scheduling the meeting at the end of the info session.
Math or SDS majors who wish to add another major or change their major to something else will need to contact the department offering the new major. The Advising Resource Center on campus maintains a directory of major advisors.
Declare the Math or SDS minor: Request the minor via our online form. You will receive a confirmation email to let you know when the minor has been added, usually within one business day. An appointment is not required, and appointments are not available to our minors during priority registration. Minors are always welcome to stop by during Drop-in Advising hours.
Ask a quick question about my Math or SDS major or minor: Drop-in Advising hours or email are usually recommended (since Michelle and I are frequently in meetings, in appointments with students, or working under a deadline, dropping by at random times is not recommended). Drop-in Advising availability is posted in the calendar on the left. To email your question, please send an email from your official UA email account to mcenter@math.arizona.edu (both Michelle and I can access this account and check it regularly).
