We will expect that all student work be presented with the same
level of professionalism and technology as is used in the workplace. This means
convincing, well-written memos and persuasive, well-prepared oral presentations. The
ability to communicate quantitative reasoning is of great importance in preparing
students for careers in business and administration.
The mathematical kernel will include:

- Linear and exponential growth

- Rates and accumulated change (calculus)
The case study front-ends will include

- Whether to foreclose on a commercial loan or attempt a work out arrangement

- How to price a stock option

- How to keep state pension systems solvent

- Population projections

- Allocating aid: how to measure poverty

- The impact of the euro (the unified European currency)
on the European economy
