General course info

This course will cover the following topics: Probability spaces, random variables, weak law of large numbers, central limit theorem, various discrete and continuous probability distributions. More details can be found on the syllabus.

Textbooks: Our main text will be Introduction to Probability by Grinstead and Snell. The book can be freely and legally downloaded. If you prefer a physical copy, you can purchase it from the American Mathematical Society directly.

You are also required to have a copy of Schaum's Outline: Introduction to Probability and Statistics by Lipschutz and Schiller. This can be purchased at the bookstore, and will be used for homework assignments.
