Suggested References
Signals and systems
I will hand out some notes in class. As we are not going to delve very deeply into this subject, the notes (+ my lectures) should be sufficient. However, if you'd like to know more, here are some references:
- Signals and systems by Alan V. Oppenheim and
Alan S Willsky with Ian T Young.
- Lecture
notes for 6.011 Signals, Systems and Inference at MIT.
What we will discuss is a proper subset of Chapters 2-5.
I'm focusing on continuous-time systems; you can skip most
of the discrete-time sections, though most of that
material parallels the continuous-time theory, and is in
some sense simpler.
- Lecture
notes for Math 334 Mathematics of Engineering Systems at
Queen's University.
This is a much more mathematical treatment. Start with
Volume 2, and browse if you're curious!
