Announcements:                                                 

                                                          Quiz Corrections – Due Wednesday, 12/6. 

(Re-do all problems you missed any points on.  Please use separate paper, but staple

to your quiz when you hand these in).  These corrections will earn points back on the

quiz!  You are welcome to use help, too.

Topics:  Functions – identifying what is/isn’t a function and why (sections 1.1 – 1.2,

Test 1) 

Intercepts – finding them and interpreting (section 1.2 and many additional

sections!)  

Linear Functions – especially applications, interpreting slope, intercepts, etc.

(section 2.1, Test 2) 

Exponential Functions – working with exp functions, solving equations, etc.

(sections 4.1, 4.2, 4.5, Test 3) 

Quadratic Functions – working with quad functions, solving equations, working

with the vertex, etc. (section 2.2, Test 2)

 

Final Exam – Monday, December 11 from 8 – 10 am in Bio East 100 (click for map)

arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can get settled and begin at 8.

                                                          Final Exam Study Aid – click here for a printable version; copies are also  

available at the bookstore.  Answers are here.

Note – the study aid is in 3 sections, with a total of about 50 pages; if you have

to pay for printing, it may be more economical to buy it at the bookstore (it

should cost less than $2).

 

 

                                                          Tutoring  – the Math Dept. tutoring room is open through Thursday, Dec. 7 (hours: 11 am – 4 pm)

      –  contact the Math and Science Tutoring Resource (520.626.9398 --- mastr@email.arizona.edu)

       for their hours during exam week.
