Southwest Undergraduate Mathematics Research Conference, 2014

SUnMaRC, the Southwest Undergraduate Mathematics Research Conference, was held at Mesa Community College over the weekend of March 1st. UA, ASU, NAU, MCC, UNM, and UTEP all sent student delegations. Besides giving presentations, students engaged in group activities, games and contests, including a Team Problem Challenge. The UA delegation solved 42 problems, i.e. 7 per person, earning bragging rights and custody of the Problem Challenge Cup until SUnMaRC 2015. The Cup will be on view this year in the undergraduate display case in the Math building lobby.
