The members of the Department of Mathematics---from staff and faculty to students and postdoctoral scholars---are working together toward a common goal: creating, communicating, and applying mathematics of the highest caliber. FACULTY
The department's faculty includes two Regents' Professors, three University Distinguished Professors, and numerous recipients of national and international awards. Our faculty help to create a safe and motivating learning environment for students across campus.
POST-DOCTORAL SCHOLARS
Currently, about 20 postdoctoral fellows are involved in the teaching, research, and outreach efforts of the department. Each postdoc is mentored by a tenure-track faculty member, who provides guidance on professional development and on career choices.
GRADUATE STUDENTS
Our graduate students are involved in administration, research, teaching, internships, and assistantships. The Department of Mathematics also has a Graduate Committee including a graduate representative elected by the graduate students.
STAFF
Our staff provide essential support for students and faculty alike. Their dedication enhances the learning experience for students and enables faculty to focus on teaching and research, ultimately contributing to our department's success and reputation.
