The Math Center
Students majoring or minoring in Mathematics or Statistics & Data Science (SDS) should contact the Math Center for advising. The Math Center supports our department's undergraduate degree programs. We provide advising on course selection and program requirements. Additionally, we organize events for undergraduates and provide facilities for undergraduate activities.
Students needing assistance with math enrollment, transfer credit, placement, or other issues not necessarily relating to our majors or minors may stop by the Math Academic Office window at room 108 of the Math building during business hours. The academic office's email is math-academics@arizona.edu; phone: (520) 626-9837. Click here to access their knowledge base.
Advising Information
You can schedule an advising appointment through our Trellis appointment scheduler HERE.
Drop-in Advising sessions are meant to be brief (5-10 minutes at most), and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Modality varies during the school year (check the calendar to see if we are in-person or in Zoom); in summer, drop-ins are Zoom only.
Appointments are not available during times marked "Drop-in Advising" - simply show up in-person or in Zoom as specified at the appropriate time to attend.
If you are interested in declaring a major in math or SDS, please complete this brief online information session before meeting with an advisor. The information session form will walk you through our degrees and requirements to prepare you to meet with an advisor. Familiarizing yourself with this information now will allow your advisor to spend more time addressing your specific needs when you meet. Please make note of any questions you have along the way - your advisor will be happy to go over them with you!
Our Knowledge Base covers frequently asked questions about all undergraduate programs and offerings.
