DMD and Reservoir Computing
When
1 – 2:30 p.m., April 14, 2025
Where
This seminar will give an introduction to two reduced order modeling techniques, namely Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) and Reservoir Computing. Both methods can be used for a variety of applications including control and prediction. Dynamic Mode Decomposition tries to identify key low dimensional features in data collected from dynamical systems, while Reservoir Computing relies on a computational "reservoir" to transform input signals into a form more suited to the desired task.
