Alumni Highlight: University of Arizona Mathematics Grad Keeper Sharkey, PhD, Selected as Honorary Listee of Marquis' Who's Who

NOXON, MT, October 03, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Keeper L. Sharkey, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.

Dr. Sharkey is a distinguished expert in theoretical chemistry, quantum chemistry, physical chemistry, and quantum information science. She currently serves as the chief executive officer and founder of ODE, L3C, where she has been at the helm for six years. In her role, she manages communication and social networks, seeks funding for potential projects, engages in outreach programs and attends meetings within various professional communities, such as InfraGard, IEEE, the American Council for Technology, and the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C). Her work is project-focused and aims to create a positive impact in the world.

In addition to her primary role, Dr. Sharkey has been the founder and chief quantum science officer of Quantum Awareness, Security and Resilience since 2022. Additionally, she founded ODE, L3C in 2018 and has served as a designated campus colleague at The University of Arizona since 2015. Prior to her current positions, she was a research analyst at Imprezzio Inc. in 2018 and a postdoctoral faculty member at Washington State University in the previous years. Earlier in her career, she contributed as a teacher's laboratory assistant in general chemistry and an upper-division physical chemistry grader at The University of Arizona from 2009 to 2012.
